Mattia Destro’s agent is confident that the striker will stay at Roma, even with a number of clubs thought to be interested.
The young forward enjoyed a decent campaign last time out for the Giallorossi, netting 13 times in 20 appearances.
Inter are said to be on the goalscorer’s trail, but his representative has insisted that the 23-year-old will almost certainly stay in the capital.
“When a player is sought after by other teams it is always a pleasure,” Renzo Contratto told ASRadioRoma.
“This does not mean though that he will leave. Mattia wants to stay in Rome and be a leader for the Giallorossi.”
Contratto is also the agent of Newcastle defender Davide Santon – another player whose future could be in the balance.
“Santon is happy at Newcastle and has just been offered a new contract. Other teams want him? They’re just rumours.”
