Manchester City are the latest club to be linked with Roma defender Mehdi Benatia, according to reports.
The Morocco international is rumoured to be of interest to Barcelona, with stories emerging on Monday that his agent was in the Catalan capital to discuss a potential deal.
However, with Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos now thought to be top of their transfer list, the Benatia move could be off.
That now leaves the Premier League champions in pole to sign the 27-year-old, with La Repubblica revealing that Manuel Pellegrini’s men are willing to offer him €4m per season.
It has previously been thought that the Giallorossi would be happy to sell the former Udinese man for €30m.
