Verona are reported to be meeting with Real Madrid for talks over the sale of Juan Iturbe to Los Blancos.
The 20-year-old played a starring role for the Scaligeri this season while on-loan from Porto, scoring eight goals in 33 appearances for the Veneto side.
Just days ago, he completed a permanent move to the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi for a fee of €15m.
However, respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio now reports that Verona and Madrid delegations will meet during the next few hours, along with Iturbe’s agent, to discuss a fee that would take the Argentine to Santiago Bernabeu.
Roma are also said to be interested in securing the player’s services, but the ten-time European champions remain at the head of the queue.
