Udinese Executive President Franco Soldati has claimed that no decision has been made regarding a new Coach.
Gigi Del Neri was expected to be named as Francesco Guidolin’s successor this week, but the board member has admitted that negotiations have become ‘bogged down’.
However, the 55-year-old has refused to say who will be in charge of the Zebrette next term.
“The negotiations with Del Neri have become bogged down,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“But nothing has been closed yet. It’s normal that we’d also be interested in other tacticians.
“Yesterday it looked like Del Neri, but…
“All I can say is that the new man will definitely be Italian. These next hours are crucial – anything could happen.
“Del Neri however, is no longer the only man in contention.”
Former Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni and Lazio Coach Edy Reja have been linked with the post.
“Reja? We like him. The only problem though is that he has a contract with Lazio until 2015.”
