Ghana have named a total of five Italian based players in their 23-man squad for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
Milan duo Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari, Juventus’ Kwadwo Asamoah, Udinese’s Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Afriyie Acquah of Parma have all made Coach Kwedi Appiah’s final selection.
The Black Stars, who reached the quarter-finals of the tournament last time around, will take their place in a difficult-looking Group G of the competition alongside USA, Germany and Portugal.
