Edy Reja has apparently revealed the reasons why he wants to leave Lazio this summer.
Il Messaggero revealed on Sunday that the Biancocelesti boss was ready to depart Stadio Olimpico after just five months in charge.
After a meeting with President Claudio Lotito, the paper claimed over the weekend that the tactician was ready to walk away.
And in Monday’s edition, they reveal what Reja is supposed to have told friends as his reasons behind the exit.
“Nobody wants to come to Lazio,” he is alleged to have said. “And other players want to leave – there’s just confusion.
“With a rejuvenated team it will be difficult to overcome the problems here.
“Especially in light of the climate that has been created and the pressures that come with playing and living in Rome.”
