And the former Parteneopei boss has admitted that he has mixed emotions following the announcement.

“I’m delighted for Lorenzo,” he told Radio Marte. “His qualities have never been in doubt as far as I’m concerned.

“I had him at Livorno when he was 19-years-old and you could see then that he was a real talent

“This is a success for all those who believed in him. I’m proud to have played a part in his development.

“I’m sorry for Christian though. I feel tied to him personally and professionally. Maybe he’s paid for his recent injury.”
