The Azzurri boss has named his 23-man squad for the World Cup, and will have the pick of those named for the match against the European minnows at Perugia’s Renato Curi.

Gianluigi Buffon starts in goal, marshalling a backline of Ignazio Abate, Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia De Sciglio and Leonardo Bonucci. Bonuuci has replaced Andrea Barzagli who is missing with flu.

Marco Verratti keeps his place in the midfield, but plays alongside Daniele De Rossi and Andrea Pirlo, whilst Claudio Marchisio also starts a second game in the row, supporting Antonio Candreva and Mario Balotelli.

The visitors meanwhile, went with a 4-1-4-1 formation, led by lone striker Aurelien Joachim.
