Marek Hamsik has once more affirmed his intention to stay at Napoli, so long as he remains happy at the club.
The Slovakian endured a difficult 2013-14 for the Partenopei, suffering a troublesome injury mid-term and then struggling for form after his return.
However, he remains committed to the San Paolo outfit, even as reports that he is no longer ‘unsellable’ have emerged heading into the summer.
“Napoli forever? Yes, I’ve always said so,” Hamsik has considered in conversation with Informare.
“If I continue to be happy, I will stay here, otherwise, we will see.
“For now, I am happy in this city, this team and I have no desire to change. The intention is to stay here.
“The various market rumours do not bother me because they are written by journalists, who are doing their job.”
Hamsik considered what may have gone wrong during the past 12 months for his performance levels to have dropped.
“I do not know, I think a little of everything. The important thing is that the team has done well and that there have been results even without my goals.
“Have Rafa Benitez’s tactics been a factor? Certainly I can give something more and next season I will endeavour to do better.”
