The Italy Coach, speaking at a Press conference today, revealed his belief that listening to the stories of previous successful Azzurri tacticians and players is key in helping to foster the correct mentality in his current side.

The Italy Coach, speaking at a Press conference today, revealed his belief that listening to the stories of previous successful Azzurri tacticians and players is key in helping to foster the correct mentality in his current side.
“I often like to listen to the protagonists of old victories,” Prandelli told the media. “We’ve listened to Marcello Lippi, Gigi [Buffon] tells different stories and Andrea [Pirlo] the same.
“There is a lot of energy and positivity that needs to go in the same direction. A lot of people say we have been lucky, but you need to look for luck.
“Positivity is the mental prerequisite you need in order to create a winning team.
“When we go onto the pitch we need to make the Italian people proud of this shirt. We need to make people see that the Italians, even in difficult moments, are a team.
“We can show that in terms of our play we are better than other teams. That’s what we need to think about and we are working towards that.”
