Daniele De Rossi took a knock after a challenge with Andrea Ranocchia and was reportedly on the floor for five minutes, though he soon returned to work after an examination by the national team doctor.

Barzagli and Paletta returned after they shook off a fever and minor muscular problems respectively, though goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu remains out.

Cesare Prandelli has also announced the eleven players who will take to the field tomorrow against Fluminense in what will be the Azzurri’s final practise match before their World Cup opener against England next Saturday.
