Cameroon’s World Cup squad will fly to Brazil tonight after settling a dispute over bonuses with their national football association.

The African nation’s 23-man contingent refused to travel to South America this morning after they deemed they were not being paid enough for their participation at World football’s most prestigious event.

However, it has now been announced that an agreement has been reached and the team will board a flight scheduled to take off at 21.30 BST this evening.

“Everything has been resolved,” Cameroonian FA President Joseph Owena said. “We have opted for transparency.

“There is no problem and I think the team now needs to all be aiming in one direction.”

Cameroon will play Mexico in their opening World Cup match on Friday.
