River Plate President Rodolfo D’Onofrio says he plans to hold talks with Esteban Cambiasso over re-signing the player.
The 33-year-old has recently left Inter and is now a free agent following a 10-year spell at San Siro.
The defensive midfielder also turned out for the Argentine outfit between 2001 and 2002 and, speaking to Sport Mediaset, D’Onofrio stated his intention to take the player back to Buenos Aires.
“When he comes back from holidays I will talk to him to see whether he wants to come back to River Plate,” D’Onofrio said.
“Though he might already have offers from other clubs.”
