Simone Scuffet has put pen to paper on a new contract with Udinese that will see him remain at the club until 2019.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper has been a revelation for the Bianconeri since an injury crisis meant former Coach Francesco Guidolin had to call him into the team’s starting line-up against Bologna in February.
He kept a clean sheet that day and went on to retain his place as first choice shot-stopper for the remainder of the season.
He has since been linked with a move to one of Serie A’s bigger clubs, but the Friuli-Venezia-Giulia outfit have tonight confirmed Scuffet is staying put for the foreseeable future.
