However, the South American nation’s assistant manager has insisted that Vidal will be kept in Brazil, whatever happens.

“Arturo is a unique player,” Sebastian Beccacece told Tuttosport. “He performs two roles in one – one moment he’s a midfielder, and the next he’s an extra striker.

“He moves continuously across the pitch and doesn’t give his opposite number a moments’ peace.

“The idea we have for Arturo is very similar to what he does at Juve.

“Vidal to be cut at the last minute? That topic has never been raised here.”
