Milan have confirmed that Jeremy Menez is at the club for medical tests today, as he asserts why he chose the Rossoneri.
The Frenchman flew into the city yesterday evening ahead of completing formalities on an expected Bosman move from Paris Saint-Germain.
Today, Milan have posted an image of the 27-year-old arriving at La Madonnina medical centre confirming that the winger will undergo the same routine and tests as Alex, who has also agreed to the same switch this summer.
On from talking briefly on his move last night, the player has given an interview to Milan Channel today.
“I am very happy to be here,” former Roma man Menez has explained in conversation with the club’s in house media service.
“I chose Milan because they are always Milan, even if they had a difficult season last year. We hope to return to being great and win something important.
“I have seen that Coach Inzaghi is charged for next year and he really wants to succeed with Milan, he has already won much as a player and wants to win as a Coach.”
Menez makes the opposite move between the clubs that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva made two years ago.
“Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva have always spoken well of Milan, they also have some regrets about leaving Milan, they have always spoken well and certainly their words have prompted me to come here.
“My position? Two of the last three years I have played up front, both centrally and on the left and right. I am available to the Coach and we will see together where I will play.
“My priority is Milan, we have to get into the top three in the League and also try to win Serie A.
“We have to work much and then we will see, we hope to do well this season.
“To the fans I assure that I will give everything on the field and we hope to bring a title to Milan because this club deserves it.
“A big hello to all the fans.”
