The Spanish goalkeeper is currently in Brazil with La Roja for this summer’s tournament, playing second fiddle to captain Iker Casillas.

But the Liverpool man, who was on loan at Napoli last season, has claimed that his future won’t be decided until mid-July.

“This is my third time at a World Cup and I am as excited as I was the first time,” he told El Confidential.

“Regarding my future with the national team, a lot of that depends on my club future holds and what Mr. Del Bosque decides.

“For now though, I don’t want to think about it.”

Partenopei boss Rafa Benitez has previously stated that Reina was ‘too expensive’ to sign outright.
