Federico Fernandez has batted away all talk of Napoli, admitting that he just wants to concentrate on Argentina’s World Cup.
The 25-year-old was an integral part of the Partenopei’s Champions League-finishing XI last term, playing 28 times for Rafa Benitez’s men.
But the central defender has insisted that he just wants to focus on Brazil for the summer, and then he’ll think about a Scudetto challenge.
“Last season was very important for me,” he told Il Mattino. “I received a lot of help from everyone at the club.
“It was a major boost for me to be able to play at the World Cup with Argentina.
“The Scudetto? Right now I just want to think about the World Cup. There’s plenty of time to concentrate on Napoli.”
