Alberto Aquilani’s agent says there are no new developments regarding his client’s current contract situation at Fiorentina.
The midfielder has one year remaining on his current deal at the Artemio Franchi but, speaking to FirenzeViola.it, Franco Zavaglia said the issue would not be resolved until after the World Cup.
“There are no developments regarding the possible renewal of Aquilani at Fiorentina,” he said. “In recent days I haven’t heard from the Viola.
“No [there is no meeting planned]. For the moment everything is on hold and I think that until Alberto returns from the World Cup it will remain this way.
“I haven’t spoken to him [since he went to Brazil]. At the moment Alberto needs to think about the good of the national team.
“Since he went to South America I’ve had no contact with either him or Fiorentina.”
