Aldo Spinelli has confirmed that Livorno are talking with Al Jazira over Paulinho, but also lists Stoke City and ‘a couple of other English clubs’ as interested.
The relegated Amaranto are expected to part with their Brazilian striker who last season netted 15 times in Serie A.
The Gazzetta dello Sport report today that Al Jazira have come in with an offer for the 28-year-old and now the club’s President has confirmed this.
“I can confirm the offer from Al Jazira,” Spinelli has told Tuttomercatoweb.com.
“They have made a very serious offer, we are talking about it and we will see if we can find an agreement.
“We are after €10m? What I can say is that the negotiations have started and in the coming hours we look into that further, which is still open.
“Along with the player we will try to work out what is the best opportunity.
“Al Jazira have already spoken with Paulinho, but on him are also Stoke City and a couple of other English clubs.
“Again we will take together the best decision for everyone.”
