The referee for Italy’s World Cup match against Costa Rica on Friday has been confirmed as Chile’s Enrique Osses.
The official has been taking charge of international fixtures since 2005 and has already presided over one game in the tournament so far, the Group C clash between Japan and Ivory Coast.
Friday’s match in Recife pits Group D’s top two teams against each other, with the winners knowing they will have all but secured their place in the Last 16.
