Uruguay are without Maxi Pereira and captain Diego Lugano in their Group D clash with England.
Both teams lost their opening games in the group, which also includes Italy and Costa Rica, but go head-to-head on Friday at 20.00 UK time.
Maxi Pereira was sent off in the 3-1 defeat to Costa Rica, so will be suspended.
Today it was confirmed Uruguay will also be without 33-year-old Lugano, who is struggling with a left knee injury.
The Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) announced Lugano would not be playing against England in a statement.
