Christian Panucci is one of the leading candidates to take charge of Livorno next season, reports indicate.
The 41-year-old is currently in Brazil assisting Fabio Capello with the Russian national team.
But Sport Mediaset suggest that the former defender is at the top of the list to replace Davide Nicola at the Amaranto for next term.
Nicola admitted last week that he needed to speak with President Aldo Spinelli about his future, with still no news about the tactician.
However, the website believes that the club’s owner has decided to change things in the dugout, and likes the look of Panucci.
No agreement can come though, until he is back from South America.
