Fiorentina released an official statement denying reports Roma are in negotiations for Juan Guillermo Cuadrado.
The rumours emerged in the media after Fiorentina formally bought out the remaining 50 per cent of his contract from Udinese.
“ACF Fiorentina categorically deny the rumours in the media of a meeting with A.S. Roma regarding the sale of Cuadrado,” read the statement.
“The indiscretions are totally without foundation, so the club will protect its image and warn against the spreading of false information.”
Colombia’s World Cup star Cuadrado has been valued at a minimum of €30m.
