Uruguay Coach Oscar Washington Tabarez considers a victory over Italy to be “an entirely achievable result.”

La Celeste need to beat the Azzurri on Tuesday if they are to progress in the World Cup, whereas a draw would send Cesare Prandelli’s men through.

“I don’t like to cry over spilt milk, but this squad has already shown it can deal with pressure,” Tabarez said in a Press conference.

“We know that it will be difficult considering we only have one result at our disposal, but we consider it to be an entirely achievable result.”

Italy are concerned at the heat in Natal, as the game kicks off at 13.00 local time.

“Nothing changes for us compared to the match against England. We expect a very tough game, but are aware of our potential.”

Costa Rica have already booked their spot in the last 16 of the World Cup after beating Uruguay and Italy.

“They absolutely deserved their wins on the field against both sides,” concluded ex-Milan Coach Tabarez.
