Dusan Basta is in Rome today undergoing medical tests ahead of completing a transfer from Udinese to Lazio.
The 29-year-old wing-back emerged in recent weeks as a further subject to talks between the two clubs, as part of their negotiations for the Aquile to buy out the Zebrette’s remaining 50 per cent share in Antonio Candreva.
Seen as having been thrown into the deal at Claudio Lotito’s request, Basta will reportedly cost the capital club a fee reported as around €5.5m.
The player has been pictured arriving at a medical clinic in Rome on Monday morning, where he will undergo medical check-ups before signing off on the move.
It is understood that Basta has agreed personal terms on a four-year deal, paying out around €700,000 a season.
