Barcelona are reported as now pushing for Liverpool and Uruguay forward Luis Suarez, but interest in Gonzalo Higuain remains.
The Catalans had been linked over the past 10 days with making a move for Napoli’s Argentina international, in spite of the Vesuviani’s continued resistance.
Today, Barcelona-based Mundo Deportivo are running the line that Luis Suarez is another target to reinforce the front-line with and that he has indicated his willingness to leave Liverpool for the Camp Nou.
However, the publication assert that Real Madrid are also pressing for the World Cup striker and reiterate that interest in Higuain and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard remains.
It is understood that where Sergio Aguero indicated to Barca earlier in the summer he would not be willing to move to the Catalans, Higuain and Hazard’s ‘willingness’ to join Barca is intact and why the Spanish believe either one’s potential move remains possible.
