The President of the Russian Football Federation insists Coach Fabio Capello will be remaining in his post.
The Italian tactician presided over the nation’s disappointing World Cup campaign, which last night ended with Group Stage elimination following a 1-1 draw with Algeria.
However, during an interview with Russian newspaper Ria Novosti, Nikolai Tolstykh stressed his belief that the 68-year-old has done a good job on the whole while in charge of the country’s national team.
“Capello has done a great job for Russian football,” he said. “He will continue to do so.”
