Jose Mourinho believes Italy should look to persuade Cesare Prandelli to return as national team boss.
The former Azzurri Coach resigned in the wake of Italy’s poor World Cup 2014 campaign, when they are eliminated at the Group Stage.
Speaking to Yahoo, the Chelsea manager said he would like to see the former Fiorentina Coach continue the work he started.
“I think that above all else they should start again with Prandelli, with the same CT,” Mourinho said.
“Italian football is not going through a great period and he rebuilt the team after the [World Cup] disaster of 2010.
“He did well at Euro 2012 and at the Confederations Cup and he should stay to continue his work.”
