Lazio legend Vincenzo D’Amico is confident that Marco Parolo would be a success in Rome, should his move be completed.
The midfielder looks set to leave Parma for the capital club this summer, and the 59-year-old, who was part of the Biancocelesti’s championship-winning side of 1974 believes that the 29-year-old will do well at Stadio Olimpico.
“It was time that Lazio made a major signing from within Serie A,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“And Parolo is a quality player that will improve the midfield.
“I don’t agree that Parolo is past his best. In my day, 29 wasn’t old. But everything’s different now.
“Parolo is a player that is still physically brilliant.
“I think after Marco, Lazio need to look at two central defenders.”
