Galatasaray have released a statement confirming that they are in negotiations with former Italy Coach Cesare Prandelli.

Reports emerged this morning that the Turkish giants were meeting with the 56-year-old’s representatives in Rome over the chance of him serving as Roberto Mancini’s replacement.

The club have since taken steps to confirm this position by releasing a statement on their official website.

“For the club’s professional football team negotiations with Cesare Prandelli have been initiated,” Galatasaray’s statement reads.

“The public will be informed of developments.”

Last month saw Prandelli resign his position as Italy CT, following the Azzurri’s group stage exit at the 2014 World Cup.
