Mats Hummels described his second goal of the World Cup, which sent Germany through against France.
“I got the ball from Toni Kroos and I was in the right place at the right time!” the defender told reporters after the 1-0 victory.
“It was another dream come true. I hope it won’t be my last goal in the World Cup.
“We’re playing the kind of football that will give us a chance to win this trophy. We’re defending well, with passion and determination, so that needs to be stepped up with each game.
“France are a top team and it was difficult today, certainly not a walk in the park. Having said that, I do feel we deserved the victory.”
Germany will face Brazil or Colombia in the semi-final.
