David Luiz praised Colombia for their tournament, but looks forward to Brazil’s “classic” semi-final with Germany.
The defender was on target with a magnificent free kick in the 2-1 victory over Colombia.
“It was a great game, Colombia had an excellent World Cup and they probably would’ve gone further if they hadn’t come up against Brazil,” the newly-signed PSG man told reporters.
“However, today we looked for the goal and were great in every moment of the match.”
Brazil will face Germany in the semi-final on Tuesday evening, their last hurdle before the World Cup Final in Rio de Janeiro.
“It’ll be a classic fixture with Germany and very tough. We must continue to play like this, trying to score goals.
“I want to thank everyone, because I knew that one day everything that is happening now would come true.”
