Nigel De Jong is out for the rest of the tournament, as the Milan midfielder suffered a groin strain, but Bruno Martins Indi is back to full fitness following concussion.

Costa Rica have already beaten Italy, Uruguay and Greece, even though they needed penalties in that Round of 16 tie.

Oscar Duarte was sent off in that fixture and is therefore suspended.

The Netherlands were pushed all the way by Mexico in their last game, going from 1-0 down to winning 2-1 in the final minutes.

Robben hit the headlines for the wrong reasons, as he confessed to diving during the match, but insisted the incident for the decisive penalty was not a simulation.

Nonetheless, Costa Rica Coach Jose Luis Pinto has urged referees to “watch out” for Robben’s antics.

Netherlands: Cillessen; De Vrij, Vlaar, Martins Indi; Kuyt, Wijnaldum, Blind, Depay; Sneijder; Van Persie, Robben

Costa Rica: Navas; Gamboa, Umana, Gonzalez, Acosta, Diaz; Ruiz, Borges, Tejeda, Bolanos; Campbell
