Gokhan Inler and Lorenzo Insigne have been asked to forgo some of their summer holidays in order to be fully fit for Napoli’s Champions League play-off.

The duo both played at the World Cup for Switzerland and Italy respectively, but were back home early than expected, with the Swiss out in the round of 16 and the Azzurri in the group stage.

Still, those who were in Brazil were allowed to return to pre-season training later than the rest of the squad.

But according to Corriere dello Sport, Coach Rafa Benitez has asked the pair to come back in for training next week in order to be ready for their European clash.

The Partenopei have to play-off for a place in the Champions League, with the two-legged affair taking place on August 19, 20, 26 or 27.
