Giuseppe Rossi’s agent hit back at Cesare Prandelli for saying the striker “disappointed me from a human point of view.”
The former Coach of Italy took over at Galatasaray today and was asked about his decision to leave Fiorentina forward Rossi out of the World Cup.
“The person who disappointed me most from a human point of view, however, was Rossi,” declared Prandelli in a Press conference.
Rossi’s agent Andrea Pastorello spoke to Tuttomercatoweb and touched on this controversy.
“I can only take his words into account, but as I’ve done thus far I choose again not to comment or respond.
“Having said that, there is a limit to everything and if this situation were to continue then we could have our say later down the line.”
Rossi arrived for pre-season tests and training today at Fiorentina.
“He really wanted to get back to work after this vacation. Now he wants to resume where he left off. I see him fired up, but above all relaxed. He really can’t wait to get going.
“He is in good shape physically and psychologically, as during the vacation time he worked hard with his physio Luke Bongiorno to ensure he was ready for pre-season training.”
