Adil Rami will keep his options open with negotiations between Valencia and Milan seemingly stalling.
The France international was on loan at San Siro during the second half of last season, and impressed enough for the Rossoneri to try and get the centre back on a full-time basis.
However, with Los Che’s ownership issues putting talks on the back seat, Marseille are seen as potential spoilers of a move back to Italy.
And the defender has admitted that he is fond of Ligue 1 and the Stade Velodrome outfit in particular.
“Ligue 1? I’m trying not to think about the future, but I will never forget where I came from,” he told reporters.
“I have a lot of respect for French football, but obviously it would depend on what team came in with an offer.
“Marseille? They are a great club for whom I have a lot of respect.
“But like I said, I don’t want to talk about my future just yet.”
