Italy legend Toto Schillaci has claimed that he would accept any role given to him at Palermo.
The former Juventus striker was the hero of the Azzurri’s run to the semi-finals at Italia ’90.
But having never represented his home town club as a player, the 49-year-old has insisted that he would love to play a part at the Rosanero.
“Palermo are back in Serie A so we hope that [President Maurizio] Zamaprini can make some signings,” he told Gianluca Di Marzio.
“The nucleus of a squad is in place and the enthusiasm is there for the new season.
“If any offer came from Palermo then I would definitely consider it.
“If Zamparini were to make a proposal then I would consider it a beautiful honour.”
