The Dutchman flew in from Amsterdam to Fiumicino Airport and spoke briefly to reporters.

Emanuelson will be challenging for the left-back role with another new arrival, Ashley Cole.

Emanuelson will be a free agent after the end of his contract with Milan.

He is due to pen a two-year deal worth €1.2m per season.
