Luiz Felipe Scolari will not resign after Brazil’s humiliating World Cup campaign. “The Federation will decide.”

The Coach had high hopes for this tournament, but a 7-1 semi-final defeat to Germany and 3-0 loss to Holland in the third place play-off left their reputation in tatters.

“The Federation and the new President will decide,” said Scolari in his Press conference.

“I want to remind everyone that in my three World Cups as Coach I always finished in the top four. I can’t sit here crying for the rest of my life.”

The 3-0 defeat to the Netherlands saw Thiago Silva give away a penalty in the opening 85 seconds.

“We conceded a goal straight away and it was immediately an uphill struggle. We played well, were less tense and created good scoring opportunities,” insisted Scolari.

“These lads won the Confederations Cup last year and laid down the foundations for the future.”
