Lucas Leiva bid, Ghoulam stays

Napoli are pushing Liverpool for Lucas Leiva on loan, but rejected Chelsea offers for Algerian Faouzi Ghoulam.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Partenopei are just waiting for the red tape to be cleared before announcing Michu’s arrival from Swansea City, on loan with €10m option to buy.

They are continuing negotiations with other Premier League clubs, as Rafa Benitez is eager to bring in midfielder Lucas Leiva from Liverpool.

So far the Anfield club are resisting the idea of taking him on loan with an option to buy, but they are continuing to push.

It is also reported that Chelsea approached Napoli for Algerian international full-back Ghoulam, who impressed at the World Cup, but their proposal was turned down.
