Verona have this evening confirmed they have signed midfielder Romulo outright from Fiorentina.
The player spent last season on loan at the Scaligeri, helping them to record an impressive top half finish in the club’s first season back in Serie A.
Romulo’s initial loan move included the option for Andrea Mandorlini’s team to secure his signature on a permanent basis, something the Bentegodi side have now done.
“Hellas Verona FC communicate that they have exercised their right to re-sign the player Romulo Souza Orestes Caldeira from ACF Fiorentina on a permanent basis,” a statement on the Scaligeri’s official website reads.
