Monaco have been listed as another side in the chase this summer for Torino forward Alessio Cerci.
The Italy international’s former side Roma, Milan and Atletico Madrid have all been reported over the summer so far as in different stages of negotiations for the 26-year-old.
Indications from more than one outlet in Italy are that Monaco are strongly interested in Cerci and are prepared to make a move in a bid to strengthen their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.
It is also understood that this interest is prompting a response from both Roma and Milan to pick up the pace of their respective pursuits for the forward.
Yesterday reports were that Atletico Madrid increased their offer for Cerci from €12m to €16m. Toro reportedly value the player at €20m.
