New Roma signing Urby Emanuelson insists his and the club’s target this season is to win the Scudetto.
The left-sided player has joined the Giallorossi from Milan and spoke at a Press conference this afternoon to announce his unveiling.
“I am very happy to be here and with the work I have done in these days with the team,” Emanuelson said. “The group have helped me adapt.
“At Milan I played in a lot of different positions in order to be useful to the group. At the moment my favourite role is as a full-back.
“This club has a desire to win. There is a strong team here and I am pleased to be a part of it.
“When I met with the club we said immediately that the target is to win. That’s what we all want, the fans too. We want the Scudetto.
“I did well with the Rossoneri, even though the last season was difficult. Now I am at Roma to show my quality and that I am a good player.”
Emanuelson was also asked about another of Roma’s potential new arrivals, Juan Iturbe.
“I’m pleased but he’s still not a Roma player. We need to wait.”
He also believes competition with Ashley Cole for a starting place in Rudi Garcia’s side will be a good thing.
“It’s a good thing, let’s see how it goes this season.”
