Juan Manuel Iturbe has insisted that he was only aware of transfer interest three days ago and the only offer he considered was from Roma.

For the 21-year-old, though, the only offer presented to him was that of the Giallorossi.

“To be honest, I was on vacation with my family,” Iturbe commented at his official presentation at Trigoria today.

“I did not know anything about the market, I came back three days ago, my agent told me there was this possibility and we signed.

“It was not easy to negotiate with Verona – Roma have made a big push in the market, but I knew nothing of the speculation.

“Talks with Juventus, though? As I said, I have arrived here in Roma, I was told ‘we have this’, it was all clear, I really wanted to train as soon as possible.

“Roma made a good offer to Verona and convinced them, I am here and I am happy.

“Did my agent tell me about Juve? I did not travel to Turin, he was here and he said: ‘Manuel, this offer is good and I like it’.

“I said let’s go ahead and we signed the next day.”
