Robinho’s agent insists Milan talks with Orlando City are “at an embryonic stage,” but he could spend six months in Brazil.

The striker is expected to follow in the footsteps of Ricky Kaka, who signed for Orlando City and will spend the next six months on loan with Sao Paulo before the MLS season starts in March 2015.

“There has been a formal offer from Orlando City, as confirmed by Adriano Galliani,” representative Marisa Ramos told Globoesporte.

“The two parties are negotiating. If this move does go through, moving to Brazil for six months first is certainly an option. He couldn’t stay for six months without playing.

“His contract with Milan expires in 2016 and discussions are at an embryonic stage. He could be loaned to Orlando City or even sold. We’ll listen to the proposals and see what is to be done.”

If Robinho does spend six months on loan in Brazil, the candidates are expected to be Santos or Flamengo.

“He will give first priority to the most solid proposals. The clubs have to understand their proposals must be good for all concerned.”
