Chievo have signed Alessandro Gamberini from Napoli on a two-year deal with the option of a third.
The 32-year-old has been at the Partenopei since 2012, but after failing to impress Rafa Benitez, was sent out on loan to Genoa last term.
And with the Spanish tactician looking elsewhere, has let the central defender leave for the Gialloblu.
“I come here with enthusiasm,” Gamberini has told the Flying Donkeys official website.
“I chose Chievo because they tried persistently to get me. I’m really honoured to be part of this project.
“I spoke with Corini on the phone and he persuaded me that this was the right choice for me.”
