Milan began their tour of the United States and Canada with defeat in Toronto on Thursday night to Olympiacos.
The first of the Rossoneri’s matches arranged for this second phase of pre-season saw them defeated 3-0 by the Greeks in front of a 10,000 crowd at the BMO Field.
Pippo Inzaghi’s opponents demonstrated a sharper level of preparation and saw goals from Alejandro Dominguez, Dimitris Diamantakos and Andreas Bouchalakis settle the match in their favour.
Inzaghi began with a 4-3-3 formation, making a number of changes during the second half.
Play was disrupted more than once during the match when individual fans ran on to the pitch to take pictures with players.
One supporter managed this a first time with an Olympiacos player, then a second managed it with Stephan El Shaarawy, before two more were stopped before they could do the same.
Milan: Gabriel (Agazzi 60); Zaccardo (De Sciglio 76), Rami (Alex 60), Bonera (Alex 60), Albertazzi; Poli (Honda 76), Cristante, Saponara (Modic 83); Niang (Mastalli 76), Pazzini, El Shaarawy
