The 28-year-old already has experience of Serie A, having played for Genoa from 2010 to 2012.
Currently at Dynamo Kiev, Miguel Veloso joins the many foreign players who are looking for a move to escape the increasingly unstable political situation in Ukraine.
He has a contract until 2016 and would be available for around €9m, though Fiorentina would prefer to take him on loan first with an option to buy.
