Brescia add to Genoa worries

Genoa were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Serie B side Brescia today with Alessandro Matri injured.

Matri did not take part in the friendly match, as he pulled up in training with a calf strain that is expected to rule him out for three weeks.

This tie was played at Brescia’s home stadium, the Rigamonti, and they took advantage by opening the scoring after just seven minutes.

Daniele Corvia sprung the offside trap and rolled across for Isaac Ntow to tap in.

Antonino Ragusa also went off with a sprained knee and Genoa equalised after the break when Juraj Kucka nodded in a Luca Antonelli cross.

The Grifone also gave Davide Marsura his debut, arriving on loan from Udinese with option to buy.

Genoa: Perin (Bizzarri 60); Sampirisi (Santana 57), De Maio, Burdisso; Kucka, Sturaro (Marsura 74), Greco (Mandragora 66), Marchese; Ragusa (Panico 17), Bertolacci (Cofie 60), Antonelli (Alhassan 81)
